Actigener® TEST RESULTS - a summary -
The producer of Actigener® made the ingredients specifications of the Actigener® products, i.e. the shampoo, the lotion and the conditioner, available to us in November 1991. The recipe was previously given to and tested by the American Food and Drugs Administration (FDA). The FDA approved the Actigener® recipe in 1985. For this reason we did not find it necessary to analyse the Actigener® contents to check it's biological origin. FDA concluded and confirmed a specific analysis, which shows the biological status of the Actigener® products.
It is worth to mention that Actigener® shampoo and lotion are composed of 25 active natural ingredients. This is very exceptional, when compared to other shampoos and lotions. Normal shampoos contain in average not more than 6 ingredients.
Request for result testing
We were asked to investigate the functioning of the Actigener® shampoo and lotion by a third party. Thus, we confirm that the producer has not had any influence in the outcome of our tests.
In consent with our client, we have formulated the following purpose of our research:
1. what results may be expected with the use of Actigener® shampoo, after 6 weeks, 12 weeks and 52 weeks.
2. possibly with the supportive use of Actigener® lotion.
During a period of 52 weeks, we have accomplished the tests with one hundred volunteers of American origin. The test group was composed of 68 men and 32 women, in the age between 22 till 53 years. All individuals were tested upon their blood pressure and cholesterol, during the checks at 6, 12 and 52 weeks.
As much as possible, we have asked the people to wash their hair with Actigener®, in the frequency they were used to with other shampoos, however, the minimum washings should be two times in a week.
All people washed their hair with Actigener® shampoo, as one would with any shampoo. It was, however, compulsory to let the Actigener® shampoo on hair and scalp for a minimum of seven minutes. Such as prescribed in the Instructions for Use.
R E S U L T S
AFTER 6 WEEKS
Dandruff
92% had lost the development of both dry and greasy dandruff on the scalp.
08% maintained to have a little dry form of dandruff, but considerably less than before Actigener® use. The greasy form of dandruff appeared to be cured completely with all patients.
Patients with skin-/scalp flakes
94% showed the entire disappearance of skin/scalp flakes
06% still had skin/scalp flakes, however, though showed an improvement from before using Actigener®
(extremely) greasy hair
72% improved, to what we may call, a normal level greasy hair.
28% improved, but needed further treatment
People with hair loss
22% confirmed to have no more hair loss
53% experienced less hair loss.
23% confirmed a little to no improvement.
02% experienced to have more loss of hair.
In consent with the doctors in charge of the investigations, we have advised these two volunteers to stop participating in these tests.

(!) Every human being looses hair, as being a normal process. The abnormal thinning of hair, however, has stopped according to the user's opinion.
Concluding remarks
We have seen a few matters which invite comment in connection to these tests and their results:
1. Though it was not the aim of our research, it was obvious to anyone involved in the testing of Actigener® that 34% of the volunteers developed new hair growth within the range of the 52 weeks of time. We did not investigate the quantity and quality of the new hair growth. A medical opinion on this subject would require different and more specific research.
2. 90% of the participants in the Actigener® tests with itching of the scalp, said that their itching had disappeared after a few washings, some even reported this itching disappeared after a few washings.
3. Participants with high blood pressure and high cholesterol tend to show poorer results in these tests than others.
4. We have not concluded any significant difference between men and women in the process of testing or in the results of same.
5. We have concluded that the complimentary use of Actigener® lotion, improves the treatment with Actigener® shampoo considerably, with those who had the best results with Actigener® shampoo right from the beginning.
One might say that, if the Actigener® shampoo improves a condition, the Actigener® lotion is helpful used in tandem.
6. The Actigener® products did not cause any side effects or allergic reactions. Part of the test group claimed an allergic reaction. This, however, was not an allergy but only the blood flow accelerating properties of the product, that colours the skin red for a while.
Actigener® contains oils that improve the blood circulation, perceptibly and visibly. It is recommended, in this respect, to inform the users of Actigener® about this characteristic, when purchasing the products.
The tests, results and conclusions in this report have been supervised by a team of two doctors, specialised in Dermatology and Hair and Nail diseases.
All personal impressions of the volunteers in this test, have been checked and verified.
